Straight out of Aigle, we drove to Frejus.
Normally its about 5 or 6 hours by car. But close to the French boarder
they built a stupid small tunnel were only 1 Camper at the time could go true.
So for vehicles higher then 2,2 mtr it only opens 4 times a day.
Which means we had to wait for like 1,5 hour. Eventually it took us 9 hours to get there.
After we found our place (on the side of a little french street) we went for dinner.
I had a delicious Pizza.
Next day was practise day. I was in Group A but i didnt felt really comfortable on the track.
The first 2 straight aways were allright but very bumpy aswell for the turns
and on the second straight there was a jump that was WAY to small!!
The idea behind it was to take some speed out of it but that didnt work out quite well.
Friday we had a little warm up before Timetrials, and timetrials are just so diffrent then racing.
But top 16 is getting points so its getting more and more important to do good at them.
My run wasnt good, my gate was allright but somehow I didnt had the power to accelerate...
Lost a lot of time on the first two straights.
But coming out of the second turn Mike Redman pumped me up and I knew I had to make up some time.
Eventually I finished as 24th which is not bad but I need to get more out of it.
Saturday was racing, I woke up had breakfast and wanted to go to the track.
I was there 2,5 hours before practise started. Nobody was there only the UCI Crew.
After I did my first short warm up to get my blood flowing, I knew it was going to be a great day.
My moto was like every other moto Stacked!!!
First round came up out of gate three I had a good pull next to DR and managed to stay in second place
and followed him around the track.
Second round, I was a little late out of the gate but still good enough for top 3 going into the first turn.
I was in place 2 togehter with Lapraz only he slide out so i finished 2nd again.
Round 3, is always important for gate pick in the 1/4 finals. I had a good gate,
and pulled everybody including DR on the first straight, holeshot!!
Only I came out to the first turn a little bit to high and lost some momentum there and cased the jump
out of the first turn. Donny passed me but I followed hime around the track so 2nd agian.
1/4 was on, again stacked as hell, after a bad gate i got locked up in the pack, rode like a pussy going into
that first turn and came out in 5th place, on the third straight I past the Timetrial winner Quentin Cayelron
and finished 4th so semi's AGAIN!!! weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehaaa
Compair to my semi in Chula I wasnt nervous at all, again I had a good gate but I was stucked on the outside.
Coming out of the first turn in 6th place, Pelluard was bobbeling so I passed him.
I saw BIG C in front of me and focused on him, coming out of the second turn I had way more speed then him
I passed him on the end before the last turn but had to much speed to close the door, my bike kinda drift into the turn
Cristian made a good move and it was over!! I was dissapointed cause I was close this time but thats racing.
And like Pete D said on freecaster.tv on this level of racing and against Cristian with some much experience
its hard. But a good weekend for me. Now holidays!!!
