| Dutch National Championships |

Last weekend we had our Dutch National Championships in Valkenswaard (2004 worldchampionships).
The organisation changed the track on a few straights, which was not really exciting anymore for Juniors and Elites but the track was in a good shape, the weather was good, the crowd was good and NOS Studio Sport the biggest national sports television broadcaster followed me the complete day. I had a pretty hard rack but managed to take 1-2-2 in my motos only I got a DNF for my second moto because of having the wrong combination of background colour and the colour of the number on it!!!! Come on what is next? giving a DNF for wearing your gloves inside out??
I think its a little pitiful but you can complain what you want but they wont listen anyway.
Enough random talk, semi final was on and I was riding safe to qualify myself for the main.
Before this race I was hoping for a top 3 spot and I knew I could do it that day, this time the gate dropped straight after the voicebox stopped, my snap was perfect (SEE PICTURE BELLOW) but my second and 3th crank werent good enough,
I got pulled and lock up in the pack, on the second jump something happend and Frank 199 went down and took out 3 other riders.. hopefully Frank is doing allright!!
Roy and Ivo where gone and Martijn Jasper who was in dead last place was lucky that he could pass me on the inside because of the crash, after that I had to follow but the lactate proces was allready in my legs and couldnt do anything anymore so i crossed the finishline as 4th.
But after a few minutes the Officials disqualified Roy for making a move before/on the second jump..
I couldnt see anything but it had something to do with that crash..
I dont know who is right or wrong but i moved up to spot 3 which is a good result!!
