Last Saturday (13 december) close to my hometown, was a race for a foundation named "Kinderwensmobiel"this is a foundation that helps children who are uncurable sick.. they will help those children to let them dreams come threw!!! For me it was really something i wanted to do, one of my personal sponsor www.theissentweewielers.nl (local bikeshop) set this up together with some other people and the foundation.. he asked me to start and do the 45km on a cyclecross bike. And ofcourse i said YES, i really would wanna help those children. The major goal was everybody who was competing had to donate 10 Euro's and all that money was going to the foundation, it turned out te be a really excited and helpfull day, with almost 600 other riders the race started. There where also some famous names in the dutch cycling world at the startline: Robert Gesink, Servais Knaven, Erwin Nijboer, Rob Harmelink, Jeroen Blijlevens, Michael Boogerd and a lot more....

You could start between 12:00 and 13:00, it was really fun but also hard to do, I had planned to ride the race with my trainingsbuddy, Mike Wensink from the REVOR CYCLING TEAM in belgium. but before we started we spoke with Robert Gesink and he asked us to join him and ride the 45 KM. So we stared, after 5 minutes they were speeding up and going faster and faster afther that they were accelerating the whole time, after 35km my HearthFrequency reached a averaged above 182 with a maximum of 206, haha but it was really fun to do.
